Privacy policy

Stillwake is a small, independent sleep dashboard for your Oura Ring data. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, where it's kept, and how to delete it. We do not sell your data, and we never share it with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else.

Where Stillwake runs

Stillwake is hosted on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Workers, with data stored in Cloudflare D1). Cloudflare processes requests and stores the data described below on our behalf.

Waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we store your email address, whether you ticked "I'd support Stillwake when it launches", and the time you signed up. We use your email only to send launch updates and one short survey email about a day after you join, with one-click answers and an unsubscribe link. Your answer (and when you gave it, or when you unsubscribed) is stored with your signup. Nothing is collected or charged.

Connecting your Oura account

Stillwake uses Oura's official OAuth sign-in with read-only access. We cannot change anything in your Oura account. We ask only for these permissions (scopes):

• daily: your daily sleep scores, sleep periods (bedtime, wake time, sleep stages, efficiency, average HRV, lowest heart rate), readiness (including temperature deviation) and daily activity (steps). Used for your trends, night timeline, correlation grid and exports.
• heartrate: the 5-minute heart-rate series during sleep, used for the night timeline.
• tag: the tags you add in the Oura app, used for tag impact and to show tags next to your nights.

We don't request your email, personal details (age, height, weight) or session data from Oura.

What we store, and for how long

• Sign-in tokens (Cloudflare D1): the Oura access and refresh tokens for your session, keyed by a hashed session ID held in a secure cookie. Kept until you disconnect, or deleted automatically after 90 days without activity.
• Notes and goals (Cloudflare D1): the notes you write and the bedtime and sleep targets you set. Kept until you disconnect, or deleted with your session after 90 days without activity. In example-data mode they expire after 7 days.
• Share links (Cloudflare D1): when you make a snapshot, we store only that chart's values for the chosen dates. Anyone who has the link can see it until it expires (1, 7 or 30 days, your choice). Links are deleted when they expire or when you disconnect.
• Short-term cache: to keep pages fast, the responses we fetch from Oura are cached by Cloudflare for up to 10 minutes, then discarded. We don't keep a copy of your Oura data beyond that.
• Waitlist (Cloudflare D1): your email, interest checkbox and survey answer, until you ask us to remove them.

Using an Oura data export instead

If you choose an export file on "Use your Oura data export", the file is read and processed entirely in your browser. It is never uploaded to our server. The parsed data, plus any notes and goals you add in that mode, are kept in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) on that device until you press "Clear my data" or clear your browser data. Share links aren't available in this mode.

CSV and JSON export

The Export card builds a file of your own data for the dates you pick and downloads it to your device. With a connected account the file is made on request from your Oura data and isn't stored by us. In export-file mode it is made in your browser.

Deleting your data

• Press Disconnect and delete my data at the bottom of your dashboard. This immediately deletes your tokens, session, notes, goals and share links.
• Or email hello@stillwakeapp.com (including to remove your waitlist email). We delete your data within 72 hours.
• Accounts inactive for 90 days are deleted automatically.

Revoking access in Oura

You can also revoke Stillwake's access from Oura's side at any time: open your Oura account settings (in the Oura app or at ouraring.com), go to the connected or authorized apps list, and remove Stillwake. After that, Stillwake can no longer read any data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
